Who owns the data in Alex?

You retain full ownership of all your data in Alex:

  • Contact information
  • Email contents and conversations
  • Sales records and analytics
  • Custom workflows and templates
  • Integration configurations

We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

Can I export my data?

Yes, you can export your data at any time:

  • Lead and contact exports
  • Email conversation archives
  • Task and activity logs
  • Deal and opportunity records
  • Analytics and reports
  • Settings and configurations

Exports are available in CSV format.

How is my data protected?

We implement multiple layers of data protection:

  • End-to-end encryption
  • Secure data centers with physical protection using AWS's most secure servers
  • Strict access controls and permissions
  • Regular security audits and penetration testing
  • Employee background checks
  • Separation of customer data
  • Regular backup procedures

What happens to my data if I cancel?

If you cancel your subscription:

  • You can export all your data before cancellation
  • Data remains available for 30 days after cancellation
  • After 30 days, data is moved to cold storage for 90 days
  • After 120 days total, data is permanently deleted
  • You can request immediate data deletion at any time
